The Apogee South Beach project was an amazing opportunity. This 7,000 square foot designer ready space enjoys an incredible 19th floor location at the point of South Beach. With wrap around balconies facing South, West & North, all four bedrooms have incredible views. Owned by a Canadian family with 7 children, this was a big space, with some big needs. Durability was as important as beauty here. The design intention was to be comfortably organic while maintaining that world renowned “Miami Chic”. Porcelain, wood, pebbles, raffia and even mother of pearl all come together to create this grand oasis. In the powder room, the wood tile walls are at once warm and comforting, while also letting a guest know something special is happening here. Further exploration reveals just what the client requested: organic and chic materials -- Maya Romanoff mother of pearl tile wall paper, pebble tiled walls, wood framed medicine cabinets. Bedrooms are all that elusive combination of comfortable and ‘WOW’! The Master Bedroom features an amazing curved bed with integrated lighting, complimented by incredible mirrors built right in place. Sliding doors lead to the spa-like Master Bath. The grand 11’ trapeze dining table had to be carried on top of the elevator to get it up to the home! All of the custom draperies and furniture in this home were designed and fabricated by Sharron Lewis Design Central.
